Getting stuck when you are working online is a common feeling. It can often seem like you just keep going round in circles.
When you feel this way it is important to identify the steps you need to take to move forward…..yet you often can’t see a way to get unstuck. It is frustrating and it is demotivating and can lead to giving up.
So What Should You Do?
The first thing I suggest you do is to take a step back and take a day off. Sometimes we are just too caught up in a current pattern to see what is going on. You often just need to take a day to give yourself a bit of perspective. Then ask yourself the questions below:
What is my goal? Be as specific as possible. So don’t just say I want more money, say I want to earn X amount of money by X date.
Next ask yourself is this a realistic target? If yes explain to yourself why it is realistic for you to achieve it. This checks that you know what is required to work on your goal. If no then adjust your goal to something that you can achieve in the timescale you have given yourself in step 1 or expand the timescale.
Now look at your goal and your timescale and break it down into smaller goals. For example if you want to earn $100 in 7 days then your smaller goal is to earn about $14 a day. If you want to earn $1000 in 30 days your smaller goal is to earn about $34 a day.
Next create a plan that will allow you to earn your smaller target amount TODAY. Don’t just go back to what were doing before and hope it works. Think about what is actually required. Spend about 10 or 15 mins writing a list of options that you could try out. Try to think outside of the limits of what you have tried before. Don’t discount anything. The goal here is to get you to think differently.
If you really can’t think of anything different to try then ask someone for ideas. Feel free to ask for ideas in the comments below….. Lastly, go and try something from your list.
