Team Building Training Part 1

If you want to build a team with any program there are a few basic principles that you need to understand:

  1. Sharing the direct link to a site on traffic sites or on social media is the least effective method to use for multiple reasons.
  2. People need to understand WHY the site you are promoting is worth checking out.
  3. It is important that you provide clear information on HOW the site can be used.
  4. The most important part of team building is showing others WHAT they need to do to succeed.

The main methods used by successful team builders ALWAYS include repeated exposure to DIFFERENT information about the site or program.

For example, email marketing, social media marketing and blogging all use a form of “drip feed marketing”.

What is Drip Feed Marketing?

Drip feed marketing is when a small amount of information is shared over an extended time frame. You might get a daily email for a week for example, with a little bit of information in each email.

This allows marketers to stay in constant contact with their potential customers, allows them to build up a relationship and provides the method for giving guidance.

Social media is another form of drip feed marketing that works well to gain followers who are interested in what you have to say. It is used to share little snippits of information to build curiosity.

Remember that drip feed marketing is NOT about sharing the same thing over and over again. It is about changing the information each day to help build a much fuller picture of the site or program. Sharing the same thing over and over again is called SPAMMING.

How To Use Drip Feed Marketing Effectively

To use drip feed marketing effectively you need to spend a little time gathering and creating information about the site you wish to promote. Then divide that information into smaller parts.

The method that I use is to combine email marketing and social media with blogging. To do this I have created a daily drip feed system around the site Timebucks:

$10 a Day Club

Day 1 of $10 a Day Club

Day 2 of $10 a Day Club

Day 3 of $10 a Day Club

Day 4 of $10 a Day Club

Day 5 of $10 a Day Club

Day 6 of $10 a Day Club

Day 7 of $10 a Day Club

I suggest you read through each of these blog posts to see how I have divided the information up into small managable chunks. When reading them pay attention to:

WHY use the site

HOW to use the site

WHAT needs to be done to succeed

In other words don’t just read the posts, look at the method I have used to incorporate each part of the team building requirement in my posts. Analyse what I have written and how I have written it.

    Thank you for this, Ellie.
I’m currently going through the drip feed system explanations.
Eventually – I understand it clearly that Blogging with having an Email List sharing those through Email Marketing as well as promoting it on TE’s as in Leadsleap where I will do my email marketing from as in broadcasts for now… and ITB, etc can work for me.
    .
I’m always just not knowing what to write in blogs and in emails… however… I can learn from what you wrote, tweak it and also put my own personal touch to it, right?

    1. Absolutely Karin, use my blog posts to help you think about what to write. Use them as inspiration and of course you can then write “today I learned” type blog posts.
